Every three years The Triennial Meeting for Conservators of the Baltic States gathers professionals from different countries and backgrounds to discuss on the manner of how to preserve our cultural heritage. Each year the conference theme is chosen by a host country of the Baltic States.
Estonia has the honor of continuing our tradition of arranging the 11th Triennial Meeting for Conservators of the Baltic States in Tartu 24-27 May. The conference theme is „ Changing contexts: from environment to ideas“.
We would like to welcome the broad spectrum of the community of preservation specialists, scientists and all interested parties to discuss about interaction of cultural heritage preservation and modern society, to meet new challenges in the field of preservation and conservation to maintain the pieces of our history and identity.
The aim of this meeting is to point out the role of preservation of cultural heritage, also conservation ethics and skills in changing contexts as well to emphasize the conservators´ role as formers and keepers of our national and common values.
